Japan’s Setouchi Destination Marketing Organisation

As part of a global marketing agreement, London-based Supereps International has been appointed UK Travel Trade Representative for Japan’s Setouchi Destination Marketing Organisation.

In preparation for the future relaxation of international travel restrictions, Supereps’ rôle will include – amongst other activities – travel trade education, tour operator liaison and development, communication with the MICE sector and provision of general tourism information services.

The region of Setouchi, in Western Japan, encompasses the seven prefectures around the Seto Inland Sea and includes Hyogo, Okayama, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Kagawa, Tokushima and Ehime. The major appeal of this diverse and tranquil tourism destination includes, among numerous other attractions, its equable climate, multi pristine beaches, sparkling waters and welcoming inhabitants, all offering the visitor a varied choice of delightful cultural, wellbeing, sporting, spiritual, arts and culinary experiences.

Austria DMC Blagus provides the latest destination news

VIENNA Yearly Ball Season
The city of Vienna celebrates the carnival during the months of January and February. This time of the year is also called a ball season, while the city of waltz dresses up into a gala attire. Every year it hosts more than 450 balls.

Even attendees that are not fully familiar with the three-four rhythm and ballroom dances will be able to find their kind of music. Traditions of an opening by the debutants in the white dresses, the first waltz to the song the Blue Danube and a midnight quadrille are all part of a perfect trip back to the imperial times.

The public is incredibly interested in the Opera Ball that welcomes up to and over 5000 guests and takes place in Viennese State Opera. On the other hand, the ball that is said to have the best atmosphere is called Coffeehouse Owners’ Ball and is held in Vienna’s legendary Hofburg.

007 Elements – James Bond movies
Did you know that one of the James Bond movies was partly shot in the Austrian Alps? The installation called, 007 Elements was built to commemorate this event and is welcoming visitors since 2018 as the only place of its kind. The modern building is located in Austrian Sölden and follows perfectly the breathtaking landscape.

The installation is focusing mainly on the “Spectre” movie while simultaneously offering signature elements from all of the 24 James Bond Movies. Located at an altitude of 3,050 meters above sea level, two floors of a building with an area covering 1,300 m² will be built directly within the mountain. It includes a variety of spaces like the open-air Plaza, showing the imposing angles of the building’s architecture frame the mountain panorama. The sharp angles recall the work of famed Bond Production Designer Sir Ken Adam who was the primary influence on the building’s design.

Visitors can observe special effects and props, and the state-of-the-art space allows visitors to interact with the technology. For the visitors that would like to enjoy other activities, there are also activities such as tobogganing, carriage rides or other winter sports.

Beethoven 2020 Anniversary
Ludwig van Beethoven was born in 1770 and so this year we are celebrating a 250 milestone that is going to be prepared by Austria. Concerts, events, and exhibitions are all going to be promoting the great musician throughout the year. One can go and see the manuscripts and Beethoven’s original documents in the National Library. Special concerts can be attended in the State opera starting with a Fidelio opera at the beginning of February, but also in Mozarthaus, Haus der Musik, Konzerthaus, and many others.

Competition in the piano play of classical music organized in memory of Beethoven can be observed and enjoyed by the public in the first half of May.

Beethoven was born in Germany but then spent most of his life in Vienna. Therefore, Vienna is very proud to celebrate the WienBeethoven2020 and visitors can find numerous landmarks commemorating the musician’s life.

Budapest – Summer in the City Rooftop bars
What you will like about Budapest for sure, are the rooftop bars giving breathtaking panorama of Budapest’s landmarks. New venue Haris Park – New Meeting Point in Budapest
Haris Park has just opened its doors to the public welcoming meetings, exhibitions, dinners and receptions. With its beautifully restored heritage building and amazing garden, it provides a unique space for special events. Located in the Buda side of the city, in elegant surroundings, it features a 320 sqm Ballroom and a 70 sqm Chapel. In addition, scheduled for this autumn, a smooth loungestyled bar and a 50 and a 70 sqm meeting room will be also available.

New hotel Mystery Hotel Budapest
Mystery Hotel Budapest is an 82-room luxury hotel located in the city centre of Budapest. The eclectic palace was built by the Hungarian Freemasons in the 19th century. As the life of the Freemasons was full of mystery and mystique, the theme of the hotel is shrouded with legends and secrets. The hotel is full of optical illusions: you can see Aladdin’s flying carpet above the front desk, there is fire by the entrance, an elevator hidden by curtains, and you have to solve the mystery of opening the hidden Knight Room. Each of the guestrooms, studios and suites are designed in three different styles aligned with a Greek column style: Corinth, Ion and Dor. The Great Hall – restaurant lobby and bar is located on the 4th floor, where buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. The restaurant also has a Loggia for up to 24 people, it is separated from the main restaurant. Another dining option is the Rooftop bar at the top of the hotel. The Secret Garden Spa provides different services and treatments. The Conference Centre offers a separate entrance and foyer leading to 3 event rooms accommodating up to 300 people.
